My designs present Les Misérables with vast world-building inspiration from Victor Hugo’s original 1862 novel while referencing Hugolian theory by Dr. Kathryn Grossman. With this design I argue that the characters in Les Misérables achieve a more beautiful or elevated state of self through an exploration of identity in costume.

In extension to my designs for the musical, I also created 3D game-ready costume assets for the characters Thénardier, Fantine, Cosette, and Marius for the independent project concept, Les Mis: The Video Game.
This demo reel showcases my 3D costume assets for an independent project concept, 'Les Mis: The Video Game'. All 3D costume assets were designed, modeled, and textured by Alyssa Ridder 2021. The rigged avatar was generated, dressed, and posed in Reallusion’s Character Creator 3.
